Ce mus\u00e9e, fond\u00e9 en 1988, est log\u00e9 <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>dans l\u2019h\u00f4tel d\u2019Ayminy, h\u00f4tel particulier du XVII\u00e8me si\u00e8cle et r\u00e9sidence de la manufacture Souleiado depuis deux si\u00e8cles. Le mus\u00e9e retrace l\u2019histoire des \u00ab\u00a0indiennes proven\u00e7ales\u00a0\u00bb en France et pr\u00e9sente des souvenirs de la maison Souleiado.<\/p>\n<p>La visite guid\u00e9e \u00e9tait anim\u00e9e par une personne passionn\u00e9e par son sujet et cela nous a permis de comprendre l&rsquo;histoire des tissus \u00ab\u00a0indiennes\u00a0\u00bb depuis l\u2019arriv\u00e9e des premiers lots de commerce de l&rsquo;Inde en 1648, suivi du d\u00e9but de la production en France en 1669, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l&rsquo;essor, l&rsquo;interdiction, le d\u00e9veloppement des industries et des de couleurs dans l&rsquo;atelier des pigments, etc).<\/p>\n<p>Bien plus qu&rsquo;un mus\u00e9e pour des dames passionn\u00e9es d&rsquo;ouvrages manuels, ce mus\u00e9e pr\u00e9sente des sujets
