Dr\u00f4le, de prime abord, ce trajet en train touristique, nous a permis de d\u00e9couvrir des paysages magnifiques, aux couleurs stup\u00e9fiantes allant des bleus, gris, aux roses et mauves, aux blancs brillants des cristallisations du sel, avec en toile de fond la ville d&rsquo;Aigues-Mortes et de ses remparts surmont\u00e9s par la tour de Constance.<\/p>\n<p><div id='gallery-1' train\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<br \/>\nEn contournant les camelles de sel, immenses tas de sel stock\u00e9, notre guide nous a expliqu\u00e9 avec force d\u00e9tails, tout le processus de la r\u00e9colte du sel de cette fameuse saline que nous connaissons tous sous le sigle de \u00ab\u00a0la baleine\u00a0\u00bb. De ce port, cr\u00e9\u00e9 par Saint Louis, unique porte maritime du royaume vers le Sud, subsistent les remparts. Il en partit, par deux fois, en croisade. Dans la tour de Constance, notre guide nous rappela le triste sort des huguenots qui y ont \u00e9t\u00e9 emprisonn\u00e9s. Devenue une prison pour les hommes, elle fut ensuite r\u00e9serv\u00e9e aux femmes. Elles y rest\u00e8rent enferm\u00e9es de longues ann\u00e9es. La plus longue d\u00e9tention fut celle de Marie Durand qui y fut incarc\u00e9r\u00e9e 38 ans.
